Tomasz Gwinciński is a guitar virtuoso who plays solo concerts or in various ensembles – from duos and trios to large orchestras. Tomasz Gwinciński studied composition with Professor Bogusław Schaeffer in Cracow (2001-2003) and is the author of a number of compositions, including works for orchestras – mixed ensembles (Szkoła Bydgoska – Bołt 2009), (Arcana Coelestia – Syriusz Film 2023), as well as chamber works (Cytera Piano Trio – Syriusz Film 2014), (Cinnamon Shops – Syriusz Film 2018); In addition to his strictly composing activities, Tomasz Gwinciński is the author of music for a number of films and theater performances, including: Paweł Passini: Dybbuk – Teatr Nowy Poznań, Kordian – Polish Theater in Warsaw, Amszel Kafka – Polish Theater in Wrocław, or Wojciech Kościelniak: The Trial – Theater School in Krakow, Shakespeare Gala – TVP2, or Wiesław Górski: Ubu Roi – Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz, Ubu enchaîné – The Point Theater in New York, and many others. As a composer of film music, Tomasz Gwinciński has composed music for about 30 films, including films awarded at world festivals such as the Documentary Film Festival in Wiesbaden – Grand Prix, and the Golden Frog – Camerimage Festival for the film directed by Piotr Stasik Koniec Lata, or the main prize at the Film Festival in Lisbon for the film directed by Marcin Sauter, The First Day. Tomasz Gwinciński is also the founder and leader of the bands Trytony, Maestro Trytony, NonLinear Ensemble, Gwinciński-Richter-Skolik, which have recorded a number of albums, including the Trytony album Tańce Bydgoskie, considered the first album of yass movement in Poland (1991).
